Will Ferrell, Natalie Portman and Mark Ruffalo voice award-winning animated feature Arco, landing in UK cinemas this March

Critically acclaimed French animated film Arco will arrive in UK cinemas from 20th March 2026, following its festival success and growing awards-season momentum.

The feature debut from graphic novelist and filmmaker Ugo Bienvenu, Arco is set in a serene future where a ten-year-old boy accidentally travels back in time to the year 2075, finding a world on the edge of collapse. Teaming up with a girl named Iris and her robot caretaker Mikki, Arco embarks on an emotional and visually striking journey to find his way home – and perhaps save the planet in the process.

Featuring an English-language voice cast led by Will Ferrell, America Ferrera, Natalie Portman, Mark Ruffalo, Andy Samberg, and Flea, the film blends ecological themes with childlike wonder. Its richly detailed animation and soulful storytelling have already earned comparisons to Studio Ghibli and early Pixar.

Arco won the prestigious Cristal Award for Best Feature at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival and has picked up nominations for Best Animated Feature at the Critics’ Choice Awards, Golden Globes, and London Critics’ Circle Awards.

As it continues its international rollout, Arco is positioning itself as one of the year’s most thoughtful and visually enchanting animated releases – one that appeals as much to adults as to younger audiences.
