Four leading chefs from Cornwall will collaborate on a special tasting menu at The Idle Rocks hotel’s Reef Knot Restaurant, on the waterfront in St Mawes, on Saturday 28th March. The event, part of the newly launched Reef Knot Chef Series, will feature a four-course meal with paired wines, highlighting Cornwall’s seasonal produce and culinary talent.

The series will bring together Guy Owen, executive chef at The Idle Rocks, Jude Kereama of Kota and Kota Kai, Ben Palmer from The Sardine Factory and Yamas, and Chris Eden, executive chef at Watergate Bay Hotel. Each expert will contribute a signature course to the menu, with wine pairings supplied by Liberty Wines. The event aims to showcase individual cooking styles while celebrating the ingredients and food culture of Cornwall.

The dinner will begin with Palmer’s Firefly, a dish that featured at the Great British Menu‘s 2024 Banquet. This will be followed by Kereama’s Gurnard Ceviche with Tiger’s Milk and Crispy Langoustine. The third course, prepared by Owen, will be a Monkfish Wellington accompanied by a courgette and fino sherry sauce, and finally, the meal will conclude with Eden’s Thunder and Lightning Tart.

Tickets are priced at £100 per person, which includes all four courses and wine pairings. The evening will start at 7pm at the Reef Knot Restaurant.
