Pour Choices wine fair returns to London with record line-up of natural and sustainable producers

Pour Choices, a wine fair dedicated to low-intervention wines, will return to London on Saturday 18th April with a celebration that will take place at Hackney Bridge in Hackney Wick. The aim is to showcase the growing movement of natural and sustainable wine production in the UK. Founded in 2023 by Jake Northcote-Green and Lizzy Kaplan, Pour Choices brings together winemakers, producers, industry professionals and wine enthusiasts for a day of tastings, workshops and discussions.

Since its inception in Brighton, Pour Choices has expanded to London, with previous editions held at venues such as Tate Modern and Wagner Hall. The fair continues to focus on fostering inclusivity and education within the UK’s natural wine community.

This spring edition will feature its largest line-up to date. More than 20 UK-based producers and winemakers are expected to participate, including Tillingham, Renegade Winery, Blackbook, Ham Street Wines, Sandridge Barton and Coe’s Farm. There will also be wild-fermented drinks from Zak’s Kombucha and The Sparkling Sake Brewery, as well as food offerings from Oyster Buoys and other local producers.

Attendees will receive five 25ml tasting tokens and a branded tasting glass with the purchase of a ticket, which costs £20 for the first release and £22 for subsequent releases or on the door. All tickets grant access to the full line-up of workshops and talks. The day is structured into two sessions, running from 1pm to 4pm and from 4pm to 7pm.

Workshops and talks will be led by figures from across the UK’s natural wine scene. Sinead Murdoch (Tasca) will present Sinead’s Pour Choices, sharing her favourite wines from the fair. Wine writer and author Jamie Goode will host Words of Wine, exploring how to discuss wine in an accessible way. Other sessions include tastings of multiple vintages from Ham Street Wines and Blackbook Winery, a behind-the-scenes look at winemaking with Sandridge Barton, and guided Wild Wine Safari tours by Wild Wine School. There will also be workshops on kombucha fermentation and speed tasting sessions led by Wine with Friends St Lens.

Co-founder Kaplan said, “Pour Choices is about making wine more accessible and engaging. We celebrate the producers pushing boundaries and connecting people to what’s growing locally”. Her counterpart Northcote-Green added, “This is more than a tasting event; it’s a chance to meet the growers, makers, and thinkers shaping the UK’s low intervention wine scene. And to drink some truly exciting things along the way.”
