Dal Fiorentino brings signature schiacciata to Notting Hill with latest London opening on Westbourne Grove
Dal Fiorentino, the Florentine lunch concept founded by married team Cristina Affortunati and Andrei Bazavan, has opened its fifth London site, bringing daily-baked Italian flatbread sandwiches to Westbourne Grove in Notting Hill for the first time.
Established in 2022, the business was built around a single product: schiacciata, a flatbread closely associated with Tuscany and Umbria and widely eaten throughout Florence. The founders, who are originally from the Italian city, have expanded steadily across London since launching, and the Westbourne Grove opening represents their largest footprint to date.
Each schiacciata at Dal Fiorentino is baked fresh each day and assembled to order in front of customers, with all ingredients sliced, diced and seasoned per serving. The menu features more than 15 versions, available for eat-in or takeaway. Opening hours at the new site are Monday to Friday, 8am to 8pm, and Saturday to Sunday, 11am to 6pm.
Among the meat options, the Da Vinci combines mortadella, whole burrata, pistachio pesto and extra virgin olive oil, while the Machiavelli features Tuscan pancetta, stracciatella cheese, nduja cream and grilled courgettes. The signature La Fiorentina includes fennel salami, pecorino cheese, truffle honey and extra virgin olive oil.
For vegetarians, the menu includes the Ginevra – buffalo mozzarella, beef tomatoes, fresh basil and extra virgin olive oil – and the Il Magnifico, which pairs whole burrata with pistachio pesto, grilled courgettes, rocket and extra virgin olive oil. A vegan option, the Giotto, is also available, made with black olive spread, beef tomatoes, fresh basil and extra virgin olive oil.
The ingredients used across the menu are sourced with an emphasis placed firmly on freshness and provenance.
