Fayre of St James charity Christmas concert at St James’ Church

This December, Fortnum & Mason and Quintessentially Foundation will host their second annual Christmas concert – The Fayre of St James – in association with The Crown Estate. Taking place on Thursday 5th December, this magical concert will be hosted in the beautiful enclaves of St James’ Church – welcoming 500 Londoners, VIPs and St James’s residents for an evening of carols, live performances, festive readings and Christmas cheer.

Taking centre stage will be some of the UK’s leading celebrity performers – singing live and enacting readings exclusively to guests of the evening.

Following the concert, guests will be invited to enjoy the switching on of the Jermyn Street Christmas lights, before moving on to Fortnum & Mason for a lavish Christmas celebration. Attendees will be treated to Champagne and cocktails, sumptuous canapés and live entertainment. A team of Fortnum & Mason’s most esteemed personal shoppers will also be on hand for those wanting to partake in a little festive Christmas shopping during the evening’s festivities.

All proceeds from The Fayre of St James will be donated to Rays of Sunshine, the UK charity committed to granting wishes for seriously and terminally ill children between the ages of three and eighteen.

Ewan Venters, chief executive of Fortnum & Mason says: “The Second annual Fayre of St James is a great opportunity for guests to enjoy the Christmas festivities while supporting Rays of Sunshine, a great charity that helps children throughout the UK. We are hoping to surpass the massive success of last year to ensure these children get the best possible Christmas.”

Ben Elliot, chairman of Quintessentially Foundation says: “We are thrilled to announce our second annual Fayre of St James Christmas concert. Last year was a huge success and we hope to make this year’s event even bigger and better with an aim to raise over £160,000 for Rays of Sunshine, supporting the incredibly work they do for children throughout the UK.”

James Cooksey, head of St James’s Portfolio at The Crown Estate said: “We are delighted to be hosting The Fayre of St James this year – an event which perfectly complements our vision to enhance this unique part of London’s West End by helping promote its rich architectural and cultural heritage. Being located in St James’s church, it promises to be a wonderful celebration of the festive season and at the same time reinforces the heritage of St James’s. The Rays of Sunshine charity works hard to make a difference to young children’s lives who are contending with serious illnesses and it is fantastic that The Fayre of St James is able to support such an important cause.”

The Fayre of St James is available to members of the public, with general tickets priced at £120 per person and VIP tickets priced at £500 per person.
