Three tips for celebrating the birthday of any man passionate about golf

It is always a real challenge to celebrate the birthday of the man in your life who is passionate about golf if you know nothing about the sport. While you may hear a reference or two being injected into casual conversation, it’s not the same as actually understanding the game itself. If your man’s birthday is just around the corner and you haven’t the faintest idea what to get him, why not consider one (or all!) of the following three tips for celebrating the birthday of any man passionate about the sport?

Dinner for two at the club

If your significant other is that passionate about the sport, then of course he has a membership to a club nearby. Those lazy days not spent going about with you are probably spent on the green with his mates and the most you’ll ever hear of it is a passing remark on who had a good game that day. Whilst you can’t understand a word of what he’s saying and why he’s even commenting, you do your best to show support. This upcoming birthday, why not add to that support? Every club worth mentioning has a clubhouse complete with a full-service restaurant open for dinner at least on weekend nights. Why not treat him to a surprise candlelit dinner at his club where he can chat up a few mates whilst enjoying that specially ordered bottle of a top-shelf champagne with the woman who is making all his dreams come true?

A gold-dipped ball and tee

Then there are novelty gifts you can always surprise him with. Unfortunately, some are simply just that – novelties not worthy of showing off to his golf group. There are a couple of really unique and highly-treasured golf gifts for a man passionate about the sport. You can get a gold-dipped ball and tee set that is meant purely for display or even a set which can be used on the green. These have been specially manufactured so that they can be played safely without losing their lustre, and yes, they are dipped in 24k gold. Isn’t this how he views the game? To him, golf is his gold, his treasure and the one joy (other than you!) he wouldn’t want taken from him.

An all-inclusive trip to his dream course

If you really want to go all out, why not get him a special pass to the club of his dreams? Every golf aficionado has that “one” club he always wanted to play at but never had the chance to go. Perhaps if the distance isn’t too far and the price is right, you could buy a pass for two so that he could bring his best golf mate along with him. After all, it’s no fun to go out on the course alone! Who would he share his critique and memories with? An all-inclusive gift would include a travel and accommodation package and if you so desire, you could add a stipend on his card for meals whilst away. His golf mate might even want to cover the cost of a meal or two along with an evening at the bar rehashing the day’s events.

It is his special day and so you’ll want to give him something that is special to him. Why not show him just how special he is to you by giving him a gift he’ll always remember? Take his game to a whole new level and he’ll have a birthday to end all birthdays – the birthday of his dreams.
