Pantechnicon relaunches as 19 Motcomb Street with three new culinary venues in autumn

In autumn 2024, Belgravia’s historic 19 Motcomb Street, once known as the Pantechnicon building and located a short distance from Hyde Park, is set to become home to three new culinary venues. The announcement introduces two restaurants and a lounge cocktail bar, promising to deliver unique dining experiences in the heart of London. The upcoming establishments, Amélie, a Provençal dining spot; Sachi, a Kappo Japanese restaurant; and Luum, a lively cocktail lounge, aim to cater to a variety of tastes and preferences.

Amélie

On the ground floor and mezzanine, Amélie will serve Mediterranean flavours under the guidance of chef Steve Raveneau. The restaurant plans to become a day-to-night destination, featuring an exclusive caviar menu and an extensive wine list curated by Erik Simonics. With a capacity of 111 indoors and 58 on the terrace, Amélie aims to celebrate both renowned and family-run vineyards from France and beyond.

Sachi

Sachi will occupy the second floor and boast a rooftop with views of the London skyline, offering a 62-seat dining area and an omakasa chef’s table. Executive chef Moon is at the helm, presenting a menu that focuses on Kappo Ryori, a traditional multi-course cuisine, complemented by a selection of Japanese spirits and rare whiskies. The rooftop will also feature a cigar terrace, enhancing the dining experience with a selection of Cuban cigars.

Luum

Luum, described as a sophisticated cocktail bar and lounge, will offer an energetic atmosphere led by general manager Stefano Chila. The bar is set to provide meticulously crafted cocktails with a Latin American twist, supported by a program of exclusive live music acts. With a late-night licence and seating for 88 guests, Luum also plans to distil its own spirits, promising an innovative approach to mixology.

These three venues at 19 Motcomb Street are poised to enrich London’s dining and nightlife scene, offering a blend of culinary excellence and innovative beverage experiences in the heart of Belgravia.
