Smoked Room Dubai and Manão join forces for an exclusive dinner on 5 May

Two of Dubai’s leading restaurants, Smoked Room Dubai and Manão, will collaborate for a one-night-only dining event on 5th May 2025. The exclusive dinner will be held at Smoked Room Dubai, a Michelin-starred restaurant located in one of the city’s high-end culinary venues. The event will feature chefs Jesús Lobato of Smoked Room and Abhiraj Khatwani of Manão, who will work together to create a menu that blends fire-led Spanish omakase with contemporary Thai cuisine.

The collaboration will offer two seatings, each limited to 14 guests, emphasising an intimate experience. The event aims to merge Smoked Room’s expertise in fire-based cooking with Manão’s innovative approach to Thai flavours, influenced by Khatwani’s training in Udon Thani and developed with the Orfali Bros’ acclaimed research and development team. According to the organisers, the menu is designed to bring together “spice and smoke, memory and experimentation” in novel ways.

Beverage pairings will accompany the meal, with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options available. Manão will present its signature alcohol-free pairings, developed through fermentation, while Smoked Room will introduce a new collection of drinks inspired by fire and fermentation. The event’s pricing is set at 1,200 AED for the menu, with alcoholic pairings ranging from 590 to 1,390 AED and tea pairings available at 350 and 450 AED.

Smoked Room Dubai, led by chef Jesús Lobato, received a Michelin star within six months of opening. Lobato was recently named Young Chef of the Year by the Michelin Guide Dubai. Manão, meanwhile, is headed by Dubai-born chef Abhiraj Khatwani in collaboration with Mohamad Orfali. Orfali and his brothers have previously been recognised as the top restaurant in the MENA region for three consecutive years with Orfali Bros. At Manão, the team has quickly gained attention for their research-driven interpretation of Thai cuisine.

Seats for the event are highly limited, with bookings available directly through the restaurant.
