NSYNC in concert

They said it might never happen again, but here we are. The boy band that made an entire generation swoon, is thinking about hitting the road for a 30th anniversary reunion tour. And even if Justin Timberlake isn’t on board (yet), Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, JC Chasez, and Chris Kirkpatrick are ready to bring NSYNC back to the stage.

The Fab Four (for now)

According to insiders, four of the five members of NSYNC have been in active talks to launch an arena tour. And no, this isn’t just a casual idea being tossed around. It’s serious. Major promoters like AEG and Live Nation reportedly put an offer on the table last year for a potential 2026 tour. At the time, all five members were approached, but Timberlake didn’t engage, and that was before his Lyme disease diagnosis became public.

So, now the big question: will they go on without him? All signs point to yes.

Promoters believe that even as a four-piece, NSYNC has the power to sell out arenas in major cities. With nostalgic pop back in full swing, and a massive wave of fan support online, the guys seem to be leaning toward saying yes to the tour, with or without JT.

The fans are ready

Let’s be real. People have been waiting for this reunion for years. From fan forums to TikTok trends, the demand for NSYNC is louder than ever. And the guys have definitely felt that energy. Just look at the excitement when they dropped Better Place, their first song in 20 years, as part of Timberlake’s Trolls Band Together soundtrack.

Then came the 2023 MTV VMAs and all five members reunited onstage to present Taylor Swift with the Best Pop award. The surprise appearance sent Taylor, and of course the fans, into a nostalgic meltdown.

Even without Justin, the remaining four got a taste of reunion hype during moments like Coachella 2019 and the recent Deadpool movie trailer, which breathed new life into their iconic track Bye Bye Bye.

Pop is forever

While fans await the release of new tour dates, there’s another way to see NSYNC in action – one that might come as a surprise.

The band has been immortalised through Play’n GO’s music slots series as NSYNC Pop, a game that puts their music and imagery into a casino-style format. Featuring an Encore Spin feature that brings all the members together as a Wild symbol, the game hits the perfect balance of retro vibes and modern gameplay.

Given the buzz around a reunion, it would not be surprising to see if their slots game online can be even more popular now. Nostalgia is strong, and mixing it with gaming gives NSYNC another way to stay relevant for both old fans and new ones discovering their music for the first time.

Will JT make a comeback?

That’s the million-dollar question. The guys are hopeful. Promoters are hopeful. And let’s face it, fans would lose it if Timberlake came around and made the reunion complete.

But for now, even four out of five members feels like a win. With demand growing, and the 30th anniversary approaching, it feels like the perfect time to bring the band back.

Whether you’re planning to grab tickets the second they go on sale or spinning a few reels of NSYNC Pop, one thing’s for sure: this comeback is one we can all get behind.
