Godiva Christmas Chocolate presentation at Harrods
A rainy Monday morning at Harrods in Knightsbridge did not stop guests from attending the much-anticipated Godiva Christmas Chocolate Presentation to celebrate the beginning of National Chocolate Week. The event, which took place in the Godiva Chocolate Café, did not fail to disappoint. Open since May and being the only one if its kind in Europe, the café presented a table full of scrumptious Christmas goodies as well as breakfast tea and coffees for visitors to enjoy.
Plates full of triangular chocolate representing Christmas trees were the first to tempt, with Godiva aiming their products for a much younger palette. Three flavours created a truly sensational, seasonal taste: the Sapin Noisette with hazelnut praline, cinnamon and ginger, the Sapin Amande that used almond praline, honey and Sel de Guerande and the Sapin Macadamia with mandarin and cardamom. Each flavour gave true credit to the festivities and allowed you to experience quality chocolate as well as delicious flavour. Available in a whole range of boxes with up to 17 chocolates in, these make the perfect Christmas gift for the ultimate chocoholic. Prices start from £6.50 and range to £18, making it a treat for your wallet too!
Christmas figures, retailing at a bargain £6, added to the younger theme of the products, with a gingerbread man, a snowman and a reindeer forming delightful gifts for children. An advert calendar, priced at £23, ensured that the countdown to Christmas was just right and each door presented with it a classic, signature Godiva chocolate with a softer, more delicate flavouring.
A beaded Christmas ball filled with 22 chocolate squares was one our favourites, as it managed to capture the true spirit of the season. The £28 ball, covered in red and green beads, opened to reveal the chocolate treats hidden inside. It is a perfect stocking filler and can even be lovely addition to the tree.
A luxurious Royal Swarovski box was the true show-stopper out of them all. A brown suede box decorated with the Godiva emblem in gold Swarovski crystals revealed a lavish array of signature chocolates. Available to buy for £150, the box featured a secret drawer compartment, hiding more of a selection of the delicious Godiva treats. An ideal present for a tasteful friend or family member, the box demonstrated exactly why Godiva should be the first choice for chocolate this winter.
Other gifts that added to the festival feel included a classic Godiva teddy bear and small gold Godiva gift bags filled full of chocolate goodies. Available to buy from 8th November, Godiva have excelled once again and created a collection of chocolate masterpieces.
