Totally Tokyo: Casio Tokyo Trio watch launch at The Study, London

Totally Tokyo: Casio Tokyo Trio watch launch at The Study, London

The Upcoming was lucky enough to get an invite to the Casio Tokyo Trio watch launch party at The Study, London, on Monday 28th January and we were very impressed by the Japanese-themed bash. Itsu provided an authentic sushi conveyor belt which not only distributed delicious morsels to guests but also showcased the Tokyo Trio watches! The trio of watches features one each in gold, silver and rose gold. They all capture Casio’s laid-back retro vibe whist conversely combining a futuristic element.

Hosting the event was Amber Atherton, who will be selling the watches exclusively on her My Flash Trash online jewellery shop. Amber, who has starred in Made in Chelsea, was looking absolutely stunning in an All Saints leather skirt. We asked Amber what 2013 has in store for My Flash Trash and she told us that this year would see a big expansion of Flash Trash Girl, which is her own brand, and new additions to the website of sunglasses and underwear which are not currently carried. She is also set to add a selection of watches, with the Casio Trio having the prestigious honour of being the first on the site.

Also in attendance were fellow MIC star Rosie Fortescue, TOWIE’sLydia Bright, looking gorgeous in a lace top and red skyscraper heels, and Take Me Out: The Gossip‘s Zoe Hardman, glowing with a winter tan and white blazer ensemble. BBC Radio 1Xtra presenter Sarah Jane Crawford, model and documentary maker Amal Fashanu and television chef Gizzi Erskine brought even more glamour to the event. Eye candy for the girls was provided by British-born, Jamaican-raised hip-hop artist Aynzli Jones, who was definitely turning the ladies’ heads.

The soundtrack for the night was DJ Syron and her partner on the decks, and the Japanese theme was further compounded by a super-cool Manga animation projection. Scoring authentic Tokyo-style points was Chie Kutsuwada, a comic illustrator who sketched amazing Manga-style portraits of the guests.

We drank Martini cocktails and at the end of the night we received fabulous goodie bags with lots of Itsu treats and an awesome Casio watch! Needless to say, we had an excellent time.
