Christian Louboutin at the Victoria & Albert museum on 23rd November

Our favourite shoe designer will be at the Victoria & Albert museum on November 23rd to discuss “his vision for luxury footwear”, with Natalie Massenet, the creator of Net-a-Porter.

The event will start at 7pm and will take place in the Lecture Theatre of the V&A museum, finishing around 8pm.

Christian Louboutin is a French shoe designer who launched his brand in 1991 with the goal “to make shoes that are like jewels”. His shoes are recognisable thanks to the red sole that all of his designs bear.

Speaking about the famous red sole, he says: “The shiny red colour of the soles has no function other than to identify to the public that they are mine. I selected the colour because it is engaging, flirtatious, memorable and the colour of passion“.

In 10 years, he has managed to conquer the heart of all women with simple, elegant and very sexy styles.

Not one red-carpet event happens without celebrities wearing his shoes. From Sarah Jessica Parker to Angelina Jolie, they are all in Louboutin.

Christian Louboutin said: “The core of my work is dedicated not to pleasing women but to pleasing men,” which would explain why they are so high and in all honesty – rather uncomfortable. But they are undeniably the sexiest shoes on the planet.

In spite of not being able to afford a pair (ar approximately £500-£600), we can afford to book our ticket to go and listen to him talk about shoes.

Tickets are only £9 and can be booked here.
