With the weather hitting all-time lows of late, we’ve all been reaching for our woollies to keep us warm. Just because the skies have been a little dull and dreary, doesn’t mean our knit sets have to be. Quirky designer Donna Wilson has created some designs that are sure to make you stand out of the grey this winter. Take for example her cosy fluorescent pink flamingo scarf, made from pure lambs wool, or this bang on trend white swan neck creation.

Donna has been running her company since 2003, having designed knitted creatures for her final show at the Royal College of Art. Her creations sold out and since then she has built her business, designing and manufacturing a collection of products made mainly from lambs wool – cushions, luxurious blankets and variety of other products for you and your home.

Originally from Scotland, this talented designer runs a studio and workshop with her team in London, where all of the products are knitted and sewn by hand. Her latest collection, inspired by an island in the middle of the sea, features nautical-themed baby blankets, hot water bottle covers and wide-sized scarves with prints of Scandinavian houses.

A giant grey knitted teddy with a colourful neckerchief and his sidekick koala are also part of the new line. The team has created 19 characters in total, each with their own personality making them seem quite life-like. The unique designs include a cleverly thought-out rain cloud cushion, complete with its own knitted falling raindrops.

There is also a variety of cushions and scarves in Icelandic-style patterns with vibrant tones of pink, turquoise and orange that are sure to brighten up any home and wardrobe.

The full range can be viewed and purchased by clicking here.
