Discover Alix of Bohemia for a European dream world

Alix Verley-Pietrafesa is the fabulous mind behind Alix of Bohemia and, well, we can’t help but absolutely adore her.

Her entrance into the world of fashion was stemmed in her family’s roots. Born into a family full of talent, it was just a question of what route Alix would take for herself. Graduating from an Arts programme in America, Alix went onto graduate with a Masters in the History of Arts from the University of St. Andrew’s in Scotland. From there, she designed her own clothes by hand in her room and it was here that her first collection was made. After writing her dissertation on a Bohemian sculptor called Alberto Giacometti, she came across a painting known as Anne of Bohemia. It was this painting that inspired the name Alix of Bohemia.

After living in New York and London, Alix finally decided to settle in Hong Kong and this is where she makes her pieces. Inspiration for her work constantly comes from her parents, particularly when they lived in the 1970 for ‘the Summer of Love’ and ‘the Psychedelic 60s.

Each design in the archive of her work uses bright and beautiful prints, from hippy to paisley and even a delightful horse print, all made unique in their own special way. You can’t help but feel what Alix’s personality is like from each of the pieces – and that is what makes them so special and so wonderful.

Current pieces of her work are available in special locations in New York and London as well as The Hamptons and Hong Kong, showing that despite leaving them behind she can still make a mark of sheer beauty on the places she has loved.  Find out where you can find Alix’s work for yourself by clicking here.

Her blog is just as wonderful and you can read that here.
