Yves Saint Laurent’s Touche Éclat highlighter has been a cult phenomenon since its launch in 1991 – one is sold every 10 seconds!

Touche Éclat celebrated its twentieth anniversary last year and an additional six shades were released in 2010 – and by July 2012, there will be ten.

Now, the multi-purpose handbag essential will be joined by a foundation equivalent – Le Teint Touche Éclat. The really good news? The foundation will be available in 22 shades, so there’s bound to be one to suit everyone.

YSL’s Creative Director of Make-Up, Lloyd Simmonds, has been under pressure to create the next revolutionary product for the brand, which he has been developing since he joined the brand – and now, it’s finally here!

Simmonds stated: “I wanted a foundation that gives the entire face a lively, vibrant light.”

“Natural, feather-light, but with a touch of Parisian, very Saint Laurent sophistication that beautifies the skin and makes the complexion expressive. I like to call it dewy luminosity, as fresh as dew on the complexion – and definitely not shiny.”

Le Teint Touche Éclat uses oils and moisturising agents to nourish the skin and conceal imperfections, as well as illuminate the skin the way the original Touche Éclat does. According to Simmonds, the two products work together to give even better results: “They are the perfect duo.”

If you’ve been searching for the perfect foundation that gives your skin a healthy, radiant glow and good coverage without feeling heavy, get excited because Le Teint Touche Éclat might be it!

Le Teint Touche Éclat will be available exclusively in Selfridges and Brown Thomas from 28th June and nationwide from 9th July, priced at £28.
