Galvin Restaurants unveils Autumn Table menus across London and Essex sites
Galvin Restaurants has just introduce a set of new seasonal menus, collectively titled The Autumn Table, across its three London and Essex sites, with prices ranging from £19.50 to £49.00 per person.
The menus run at the Michelin-starred Galvin La Chapelle in the City of London, Galvin Bistrot & Bar in Spitalfields and Galvin Green Man in Chelmsford, Essex. Each has been built around seasonal produce, with Mediterranean influences running through the two London offerings. A signature negroni, produced in collaboration with gin distiller Sipsmith, is available in both alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions, alongside an Aperitif Maison.
At Galvin La Chapelle, Chef Director Arturo Granato and his team have priced the Autumn Table menu at £49.00 per person, including a welcome cocktail – a Negroni, Aperitif Maison or low-alcohol NoGroni – and kitchen snacks of duck liver parfait with Moroccan spice and muscat grapes, and Comté gougères with mushroom ketchup.
Starters include charred Cornish Mackerel with kimchi water and whipped feta, or a Dorset Crab Raviolo with beurre blanc, which carries a £15.00 supplement. Main courses are Slow-cooked Venison with juniper berries and bagna cauda, or Dedham Vale Aged Beef with fried oyster and miso aubergine at a £20.00 supplement. Desserts are a Caramelised Delica Pumpkin and Clementine Tart, or a Baba au Tiramisu to share at a £14.00 supplement, with farmhouse cheese also available. Wine pairings can be added for £41.00 (classic) or £66.00 (sommelier).
Galvin Bistrot & Bar in Spital Square is running a Mediterranean-inspired feasting menu at £29.00 per person, including a welcome cocktail. Optional extra bites include House-marinated Gordal Olives and Padron Peppers, with starters of Jambon de Bayonne and a burrata, fig and hazelnut pizzetta. The main course is a 40-day-aged Dingley Dell pork T-bone with nduja and pumpkin, served with French fries and truffle aioli, alongside Mussels Saganaki with aged barrel feta and chorizo. Desserts are Tiramisu and a Basque Cheesecake with chocolate sauce.
At Galvin Green Man, a timber-beamed country pub in the Essex countryside, the menu is priced at £19.50 for two courses or £23.50 for three. Dishes include Blackwell Farmers Moccus Salami, Smoked Haddock Rillette with pickled kohlrabi, Suffolk Chicken Breast with borlotti beans, cavolo nero and salsa verde, and a White Chocolate Panna Cotta with nutty granola and blackberry.
The group was founded by brothers Chris and Jeff Galvin; Galvin La Chapelle has held a Michelin star since 2011, while Galvin Green Man holds a Bib Gourmand.
