J&B The Shop will make all your crafting dreams come true

J&B The Shop will make all your crafting dreams come true

We love anything that is stationery related here at The Upcoming. I, personally, have this habit of having to pick exactly the right notebook, as it has to fulfil a whole range of different purposes.

When the time comes of having to pick a new one, it is a process that needs careful thought and decision-making. When I was introduced to J&B The Shop, I was left quite literally speechless and any decision I ever needed to make was there, in notebook form.

J&B is made up of the lovely Jessie Chorley and Buddug Humphreys. These two girls, who are best friends, set up their store on Columbia Road Flower Market, East London after meeting at university. After studying textiles as well as jewellery and silversmithing, the duo kept in touch and constantly discussed collaborating with each other. It was in 2005 when this dream finally came true. Starting with a small stall on Broadway Market, the pair made and sold handcrafted items from their skills and materials.

In 2010, J&B became a reality and the girls set up shop. Working independently to make their brand, the girls combine their unique talents in order to create truly special items. Jesse specialises in paper, textiles and found objects and Buddug uses enamel and metal, as well as a mix of other materials in order to make dreamy products found both in their store and online.

My favourite items have to be their journals. All priced at £45, each journal is the definition of perfection. They all have a slightly vintage feel to them, but are completed by handcrafted detailing such as embroidered words, buttons and ribbon fastenings. Each journal is designed for a different purpose, whether that be for a diary or for your adventures and tales, but every single one of them is truly beautiful in their own way.

The girls sell an array of other hand-made items such as jewellery, cards and homeware. Some of my favourite picks are the bow tea cosy for £85, the dollie framed pictures ranging from £75-£85 and the personalised heart enamel necklace for £35.

The only thing I can possibly say about J&B is that it is my idea of heaven. Have a look at what you can find by clicking on their website here.
