Summertime is kind of almost here and that means it’s time to stock up on cute girly sundresses and skirts to wear on those rare warm days.

Enter Charlotte Lucy, by young fashion designer Charlotte Lucy Barker, who studied Fashion Design at York College and won the Merchant Taylors Award in 2008 for her final collection. Since then, she has worked tirelessly to build her dream of a successful label.

Charlotte began her eponymous line in April 2010 with the dream of creating “beautiful, bespoke, one-off pieces for her customers.” Her ultimate ambition is to make Charlotte Lucy a must-have brand for those who love fashion and quality.

After a successful year of bespoke designing, Charlotte decided to launch her own collections to make her label more accessible to the masses.

“The Unexpected” is Charlotte’s first ever collection, it features on-trend basics and summery prints in a range of luxurious fabrics.

A-Line Belted Dress – £95 A-Line Belted Dress

This printed dress is available in blue and pink and is the perfect thing to wear to summer barbecues, picnics and teamed with a blazer, you can even make it work for work!

Sports Dipped Hem Dress – £97Sports Dipped Hem Dress

Waterfall dresses are super trendy right now and so pretty! Wear on holiday, on the beach, during the day or on a night out – it’s so versatile. If you only buy one item of summer clothing this season, make sure it’s a waterfall dress – this one is beautifully flattering and comes in two colours.

Pink Patterned Vest – £48 and Dipped Hem Skirt – £50 Pink Patterned Vest and Dipped Hem Skirt

For casual summer chic, team a cropped vest with the bang on-trend “mullet” skirt ie. short in the front and long at the back! This Charlotte Lucy skirt is available in khaki if you want an adventurous look and pale yellow for those who prefer pretty pastels.

All garments will be handmade and made to order and delivery is free. To shop Charlotte Lucy, visit here.
