The world’s first photobooth festival takes place in London today

The likes of Simon Pegg, Pierce Brosnan, Jessie J, Alan Carr, David Haye and Annie Lennox have all been clients for Boothnation, Seamus Ryan’s luxurious photobooth company. Boothnation cater to anything from festivals to the BAFTAs: their peculiar yet very practical booths are becoming incredibly popular, and to celebrate this, Hoxton is holding the world’s first photobooth festival!

Right next to Columbia Road – home to London’s popular flower market – is Ezra Street, where the festival will be held. From the Warhol-like pop art portraits and the Vintage Booth to a Toddlerbooth and even an underwater themed booth, Boothnation has selected a variety of differently themed, personalised mini-studios to provide a great deal of family friendly fun.

The photos are of great quality; they take a few seconds to print and there is even a courtyard with Rough Trade DJs and drinks to gratify all who visit this mysterious, backstreet gem.

Come along for something wonderfully whimsical and light-hearted, and you’ll even have your memories in print.

Matt Di Salvo

The Photobooth Festival takes place on Saturday 21st July, £10 a ticket, £25 for a family ticket at Ezra Street, London, E2 7RH from 10am to 6pm.
