Silk & Sawdust is responsible for recreating classic designs from the 20s through to the 80s in elegant fabrics. The label is bringing vintage back to life in a cut that fits the silhouettes of ladies today.

Each dress is based on a vintage pattern or piece and is recreated with a modern tweak. One factor, which makes this brand so special, is the fact that each item is only available in limited numbers meaning every piece is a “boutique unique”!

Silk & Sawdust recreates some of the most divine vintage designs from the last century in the stunning, modern fabrics available today. The pieces are hand tailored, by dressmakers in Thailand, and they are carefully cut to fit the fabulous figures today. However, in order for Silk & Sawdust to find their designs they must take inspiration. Their inspiration comes from comes from vintage patterns, old fashion books and original vintage dresses, coats and tops.

Another great thing about this label is its diversity. Fabrics are sourced internationally from places such as London, Paris, Turkey and Thailand, meaning that all the pieces hold a different culture within them. What beats a vintage dress that has a meaning? Nothing.
