Muse go dubstep with new track Unsustainable

Muse are known for experimenting with their music, with each album bringing a new dimension to their arsenal of noise. Their sixth studio album The 2nd Law is set to carry on with their evolution of musical style, with the recently released song Unsustainable.

What’s with the big hype around it? It’s Dubstep. Building up through a tension filled dramatic intro, with a chopped news report comments on economic and fuel crisis, it climaxes with a strained robotic voice preach the song’s title before dropping into an undeniable, heart-pounding Dubstep wobble. It’s done to perfection, and you can just imagine the effect that it would have on a crowd attending a legendary live Muse performance.

Of course, with any change it’s going to leave people unhappy. Dub-heads are going to love this one, hardcore Muse fans won’t be disappointed as it still features Matthew Bellamy’s iconic vocals. You either hate or love Dubstep, and the same goes with Unsustainable. Controversy is what Muse do, expect nothing less from them.
