Bloodlust Ball is still frighteningly fabulous!

Bloodlust Ball is still frighteningly fabulous!

Welcomed beautifully by green shades of light reflecting hauntingly on huge tombstones, Halloween has hit Beauberry House. And of course that only means one thing: The Button Club’s Bloodlust Ball! Entering the 18th century mansion, there are coffins and skeletons everywhere and the atmosphere is truly eerie. A gorgeous cranberry and vodka cocktail awaited us as ghoulish girls strutted everywhere offering smoking shots to arriving guests. Screeching, screaming and haunted lullabies echoed through the dazzling halls while the room filled with vampires and zombies who casually sipped on cocktails and champagne.

As the reception kicked in, we started to recognise the celebrities under all the costumes and face paint. The gorgeous glamour model and former Big Brother contestant Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace looked stunning in red and black, and even commented on our costumes! The Bachelor contestant Chloe Levitt-Collins was dressed in a mind-blowing costume as Black Swan’s Nina Sayer who was played by Natalie Portman in the 2010 psychological thriller. Hairdresser to the stars Stuart Phillips was there covered in fabulous fake tattoos! From rock stars such as the Rolling Stones to movie stars such as Jean-Claude Van Damme, the man has styled them all! A trio of golden robots strolled in, then realising the electric vixens were real-life Gladiators. Welsh beauty queen Amy Guy, who is Siren in The Gladiators; the ravishing Zoe Williams, who kicked butt as Amazon; and Jenny Pacey, whose alias was the gorgeous Enigma. They truly stopped the show with their great costumes.

Once everyone had got into the party mood, it was time for food. A fabulous buffet of glorious top gourmet food was on offer for the hungry party goers, including Freaky Chicken Skewers, Red Pepper Coulis, Confin Poached Salmon, Demon’s hog roast and some yummy desserts like Tombstone Chocolate Brownie and Berry Coulis Devil’s Fruit Platter. All was delightfully filling. After the food came the entertainment! And 2011 Britain’s Got Talent favourite Pippa Langhorne (minus her pooch, Buddy) sang an incredible, exclusive Halloween repertoire which wowed the crowds. Soprano is no doubt going to be big next year!

After the entertainment finished, the party got going on the dance floor with DJ StaRRocker banging out tunes until the early hours of the morning. The Halloween party was a hands down success, and The Upcoming is already looking forward to next year’s celebrations!
