Thursday night in the magnificent back streets of Kensington High Street hosted the wonderful An Evening with Fabi Shoes. The Fabi brothers (Elisio and Enrico) and their wives (Gina and Vilia) started the sophisticated shoe and accessory brand back in 1965. The years that followed the making of the brand allowed Fabi to blossom. The Fabi Donna collection that was created in 1993 and 1994 allowed the family team to establish themselves as dynamic creators of fantastic footwear for both men and women.

This year sees how the family foursome is now a legacy of family members and workers who produce fashionable accessories influenced by inspiring Italian spirit.

The location of the event, the quaint but classy Locando Ottomesso, was perfect to enrich their new collections with true Italian style. The evening saw a beautiful array of blue and black women’s slingbacks, peep toes and beautiful detailing. There was perfectly placed side cut-outs as well as a brilliant use of material to give the shoes a chic feel. Matching bags came with the shoes, including a perfectly paired red shoe and bag duo – perfect for any season.

The men’s collection was just as fantastic with suedes and patent numbers dominating the table displays. There was also an exclusive luxury edition Fabi perfume in the presentation.

The night was completed by Italian wines and Michelin star canapés by Chef Mauro Illiassi for the ultimate “Italiano” experience. The atmosphere of the evening not only celebrated the success of Fabi’s new pieces, but also gave a commemoration of family history and achievement.
