Purses and pouches at Blackbird and The Owl
Leather accessory brand Blackbird and The Owl was born from a love of textiles earlier this year. Full-time illustrator Peggy Wolf – the founder of the brand – decided to create this separate design project after working for various fashion and design companies worldwide. Her designs have been described as “fresh and interesting” and we couldn’t agree more after seeing these adorable pieces in her Etsy shop. 
Peggy uses materials such as leather and suede, combined with traditional techniques such as screen printing and stitching. To complete her minimal yet unique designs, Peggy uses simple shapes and interesting patterned print. Coin purses, iPhone pouches, clutches and bracelets are just some of the products you can discover. Blackbird and The Owl appeals to a wide age group as the designs are versatile, and although they are created with old-fashioned craft, they are adaptable to reflect current high-street accessories. 
These coin purses are very cute and are able to carry all our change and jewellery, and would make a lovely addition to our handbags. The designs ranges from lace trim and candy stripes to woven detail, and cost just £11.75. They also seem to be the most popular items from the brand. We love the mustard purse with red triangles – as you know fun and handmade pieces are things we just can’t seem to resist.
If you have an iPhone or android, like the majority of us now do, the phone cases available are perfect. The suede fabric will leave your phone protected and unscathed. Plus, having such an unusual and eye-catching case will make people constantly question where you got such a sweet item from!
