Rihanna to debut collection for River Island and LFW

Rihanna to debut collection for River Island and LFW

Since we announced last year Rihanna was collaborating with River Island on her own collection, she has since being making headlines daily for her “bad girl” style. It has now been announced that she will reveal her debut collection at London Fashion Week next month.

The River Island show has been confirmed to run on Saturday 16th February – with a strict invite-only policy, of course. “Launching at London Fashion Week is a dream come true for me,” said Rihanna. “I have wanted to design my own collection for a long time and to present my collection for River Island alongside all of the other great design talent at LFW is a real privilege. I can’t wait to see the reaction from my fans and the fashion press!” The LFW launch will be followed swiftly by the collection’s international launch online and in stores on Tuesday 5th March.

River Island’s chief executive, Ben Lewis, added: “We are very excited to present our Rihanna for River Island collection at London Fashion Week. This is the perfect platform to showcase Rihanna’s design talent and ambition.”

We wonder what will be in store. Given her recent choice of outfits, we’re thinking revealing, old skool, hip-hop inspired and lots of black. We’re not expecting any girly floral designs, but maybe a certain plant leaf design?

Guess we’ll have to wait our turn and see!
