Jewellery designer Judith Brown has launched her latest vintage-inspired 2013 collections, by combining vintage haberdashery with recycled lace. The result of Brown’s craftsmanship is intricately made, wearable jewellery with extremely elegant undertones.

Each piece is carefully stitched by hand, giving a unique, personal feel to every piece of jewellery.  With her mother teaching her textiles from a young age combined with her studying of embroidery, Judith Brown’s inspiration is evident in her designs. Being surrounded by haberdashery from a young age, it is no surprise that hooks, eyes, buttons and lace feature heavily in the nostalgic 2013 collections. Judith Brown Jewellery- Lookbook

With different aspects of the pieces dating as far back as the 1930s, the hand-stitched and hand-wired jewellery has the capability of making the wearer feel as individual and elegant as the pieces themselves. Small and delicate detailing gives the jewellery a much welcomed edge over the large costume jewellery that we are gradually getting so bored off.

The 2013 collections – named Romantic Nostalgia, Vintage Noir and Vintage Lace/Mother of Pearl – incorporate press studs from the 1930s up to the 1980s and vintage mother of pearl buttons that can be up to 100 years old. The fact that this carefully crafted jewellery has history not only in the way that it has been handmade, but also history in the vintage components themselves, is what makes Judith Brown jewellery so special.

Brown’s 2013 collections are all you need to take a dive back into a vintage euphoria with a modern day delicacy and elegance that you won’t find anywhere else.
