The SensatioNail starter kit by Nailene flew off the shelves as soon as Dancing on Ice chief make-up artist, Rene Metcalfe, tweeted that she uses the kit on skating stars, and was hugely impressed by the gloss finish combined with the incredible staying power!photo 3

With devoted followers including Holly Willoughby, never without her trademark red nails, sales of the SensatioNail manicure starter kit have continued to soar.

If you love the look of a salon manicure, the longevity of a nail extension, but have neither the time nor bank balance to maintain twice monthly salon appointments, then look no further, your nail saviour has arrived!

We’ve been lucky enough to try out this manicure and really put it to the test, to see if it’s worthy of all the hype! Our hard-working hands have reached an unanimous decision that, yes, this product really is invincible. We’ve even got the photographic evidence to prove it!photo 1

Pictures taken on days one and 15 show how the gel manicure has withstood the test of time, swimming, washing pots (minus the gloves), long soaks in the bath and plenty of messy play with the little ones! Remaining glossy and immaculate. The only tell tale sign as to the duration of wear, being the slight regrowth towards the cuticle.photo 2

Taking just 20 minutes to apply, if you can polish your nails then you can apply the gel.  The best part about the system is that, even if you have an unsteady hand, you have until you choose to set the gel to clean it up. Four layers of polish are applied, a base, two coats of your chosen colour and a glossy top coat.

If you’re worried about choosing a colour that you’ll still be in love with after 14 days, then worry no more, you can paint over the top of your SensatioNail manicure with your usual polish, as long as you remove it with acetone free polish remover.

We trialled the beautifully dense, red glitter shade Midnight Kiss, never before have we received so many compliments on our manicures! Sensationail launched with just 12 shades in their portfolio. Due to the popularity they now have a whopping 65, including glitter and magnetic effects, and a kaleidoscope of colours to suit every occasion.photo 4

The SensatioNail starter kit is available from Boots, Asda stores and online from SensatioNail. Priced at just £69.99, with enough product to perform ten manicures, it works out at just £6 a time! If you’re a slave to the polished nail, then this is a beauty must. Just think of the hours saved painting, waiting for polish to dry and retouching. You could take up a hobby with all that free time, learn a new skill or if you’re as much of a slave to beauty as us here at The Upcoming, then why not use the extra time to pamper yourself.
