Are you tired of being a sardine at the bar every Friday evening while still in your 9-5 threads? With so many easy fashion and beauty options to take you from the office to the bar, you’ll be looking and feeling every bit the London socialite.

Necklaces or bangles, gold or silver, pastels or bold statements, jewellery is one of the easiest ways of injecting party fun into an outfit. Take inspiration from Mawi’s S/S 2013 costume jewellery and invest in a glamorous, chunky piece.

Most high street stores have a variety of this style of jewellery at the moment. Some of our favourites include Topshop’s Figure Eight Chain Pendant for £16.50 and Miss Selfridge’s Triangle Cast Wristwear for a mere £12.50.

Another simple way to add night-time glamour to an office skirt or dress is to purchase a gold or silver waist cuff. This is a simple and inexpensive way to dress up for a night on the town with ASOS offering some of the best low cost designs. If you are willing to spend some hard-earned pennies, labels like Sass & Bide have some beautiful belts on offer online.

If you’re not the jewellery clad kind of girl, you’ll be thankful for the new current craze of the Peter Pan embellished collar. They are very easy to pop on over a dress neckline or an already existing collared shirt (check it fits correctly when buying in store) and will add a surge of vintage elegance. We love Dorothy Perkins’ jewel encrusted design for £16.50 and River Island’s cream leather studded creation for just £7.00 online.

With so many affordable trends at the moment there’s no longer an excuse to long off an after work social occasion!
