Alice Palmer’s pioneering fashion makes an impact

With a degree in textiles and a masters from the Royal College of Art, Alice Palmer has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the fashion industry. She is now a renowned fashion entrepreneur who is highly influenced by unconventional and “out of the box” ideas. It is no wonder she has been shortlisted for the Scottish Fashion Awards, an honour held in high regard for its recognition of talent in Scottish fashion.

Alice has already been awarded Best Women’s Wear Designer by New York ASOS, and she has also been nominated for Fashion Designer of the Year in the previous two years. With a track record of international attention and reaching a platform of award-winning fashion, Alice has certainly made a groundbreaking entrance into a competitive and passionate industry.

Brimming with unique, young and fresh ideas, Alice aims to change the notion that knitwear is safe, secure and cosy. She creates cutting, critical and modern knitwear that is eco-friendly and eco-conscious  she uses non-toxic dyes and wastes no fabric.

With a passion for being environmentally friendly, she still manages to produce clothing that is rock-chick with a gritty, urban style.  She also creates clothes which are daring and empowering, focusing on the pattern and the shape. Most of her clothes are sculpture based and she uses geometrical shapes, which brings an edgy and bold statement to her pieces.

With clothing line titles such as Lady Vengeance, Fossil Warrior, Vertigo and Into the Void, Alice makes clear her intention  to empower women and give them a feeling of dominance. Her title choices also imply that her clothing ranges are quirky and eccentric, not following the crowd.

Alice founded her label in 2008 and ever since her fame and passion has kept growing, with her ranges reaching an international fanbase. Shortlisted for the Scottish Fashion Awards for the third consecutive year, she has been nominated in the Scottish Textile/Brand Designer of the year category. With international success and recognition as a leader in modern fashion, Alice Palmer will soon lead the way to quirky and unique clothing.
