Sell-out Irish dance spectacular Footstorm is set to arrive at the Peacock Theatre in London this July, breaking new boundaries in dance with never-seen-before movements, a brand new original score and an innovative story concept.

Created by Alan Kenefick, lead dancer and choreographer of award-winning dance troupe Prodijig, the Footstorm tour began in Dublin to amazing reviews and critical acclaim with the drama and passion of dance illustrating an impossible, tender love story.  The lead dancers also hail from Prodijig, the seven-strong dance troupe known for taking a bulldozer to the traditions of Irish dance. First emerging on Sky One’s Got to Dance in 2012, Prodijig’s now infamous mash-up of urban contemporary and traditional moves smashed through the competition after a series of staggering performances that had the judges on their feet.

The group, made up of Alan Kenefick, Ciara McGillan,  Andy O Reilly, Darren Casey, Dane McKiernana, Christiana Havlin and Bobby Hodges, are all ex-Riverdance and champions in their own right, winning competitions all over the World.

Alan said: “I’m really proud of the music.  It’s been designed to tell the story, which is why it’s so much more than a score.  The storyline is really dramatic – a love story set between two worlds. Good versus evil but keeps the modern edge that we created with Prodijig [the show].”

Working alongside Alan is Kim Gavin, whose credits include the London Olympics and Paralympics Closing Ceremonies in 2012. The show is also co-scored by classical Brit winning producer Rupert Christie.

Following a successful nationwide tour, Footstorm is heading to London this week. Book now!
