Mother’s Day timetable: the perfect plan of appreciation

Present? Sorted. Card? Sorted. Flowers? On their way. Day plan? Wait, what? You’ve got to hand it to yourself, we’ve all got busy lives and the plan for the day might just have been what we slipped on; but you don’t have to gloss over the subject or leave it all in the hands of someone else, because we have got the perfect Mother’s Day timetable to suit all of our lovely mothers out there.

9am

Because you want her to have a bit of a lie in before her luxurious day – surprise her with a homemade breakfast in bed, and a small vase of flowers. This way she can wake up like a queen, and you can look like the princess.

11am

She’s ready, dressed and raring to go, so why don’t you take her shopping or go to a matinée performance at a theatre in London? Late morning markets at Camden are always interesting, with great food and cute little gifts to treat her with throughout the day. But the fun doesn’t stop here…

2pm

You’re getting peckish, so why don’t you go for a spot of lunch? Afternoon tea is always a success so make it extra special by going to The Langham, The Connaught or any top hotel in London. While you’re there, why not go the extra mile and treat her to champagne also – remember, you will be there too…

5pm

You’re weighed down by all of that delicious food and all you want to do is sleep, not trudge around the London crowds – but perfect for you as you’ve organised a spa treatment for you and your mum. This doesn’t have to cost the earth as most places you can get offers for, or you could get a mani-pedi; either way she’ll adore you for the first-class pampering session.

7pm

It’s getting dark and the day is nearing to an end – just before your mother thinks she’s going to get packed upon a train, why not fit in one last surprise. Go to the Aqua Shard, a cocktail bar 31 floors up on the new iconic London building. With a view like this while sipping drinks, nothing could close the day with more class.

This timetable may cause a splurge, but when it comes to our mums, do they deserve any less? No, because they’re lovely.
