Market Place Food Hall in Leicester Square is marking Chinese New Year with a series of limited-edition menu items, available from 17th February to 3rd March. The event aims to celebrate the Year of the Horse and will feature special dishes inspired by Chinese cuisine, created by various traders at the venue. Located in Leicester Square, the venue has timed its offerings with the wider festivities that typically draw large crowds to the West End and nearby Chinatown.

The West End food hall, which opened in December, is part of a growing chain with other locations in London, including St Paul’s, Vauxhall, Harrow and Peckham. The venue offers a range of street food from independent vendors, as well as events and amenities for visitors.

The line-up for the upcoming event includes four exclusive dishes, each designed to reflect the spirit of the festival and the venue’s street food ethos. Inamo Sukoshi is presenting a Sushi Horse Box, which features sushi crafted into the shape of a horse. Cheeky Burger will serve Dragon Fries, described as crispy fries tossed in Sichuan chilli oil and topped with cheese sauce, crispy garlic, spring onions, crispy onions, fresh chillies and chives. Meanwhile, Duck Shed is offering a Chinese Peking Duck Rice Bowl, consisting of slow-roasted pulled duck over steamed rice with hoisin sauce, pickled bean sprouts, and ginger and spring onion sauce. For dessert, Soft Serve Society has created a Year of the Horse Creampuff Dumpling, combining soft serve and chocolate ganache dumpling with a gold edible spray.

On the 17th only, Market Place putting on The Lucky Hunt, where guests can search for four hidden red envelopes. Those who find an envelope will win one of the special Chinese New Year meals.

Chinese New Year celebrations in Leicester Square and Chinatown are a major draw, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors every year. Market Place Food Hall, situated close to the heart of the show, offers an ideal destination for those looking to enjoy themed food offerings in the lively indoor setting.
