As summer arrives it brings with it a flurry of festivals and whilst the mix of music, camping and partying is loved by most, keeping your hair stylish and intact is a whole other matter.

Those over at Hershesons have decided to help us all out a little and offer some advice on how to master the three-day festival hair strategy.

Hershesons are renowned for their “cool girl hair” status and “get up and go” outlook on life, believing that nothing is too much trouble. They can offer you the perfect blow dry and shape in just 30 minutes for just £25. They have four salons dotted all around London including one in Topshop’s Oxford Circus store and also Selfridges on Oxford Street.

As well as salons, Hershesons run their own online magazine that is brimming with tips and tricks on how to have the most fabulous hair. This month they focus on the infamous Bardot beehives, coloured ends and how to master the perfect ponytail. Many of the ideas and styles featured in the magazine mention use of the Hershesons products, all of which are available to buy online.

The online store is an extensive collection of brilliant quality hair extensions. “Get the Look” kits and styling tools including (but not limited to) brushes, hair dryers, dry shampoo, curling tongs and hair grips. hersh

All of the above tools will be helpful in creating your three-day festival hair styles. They recommend starting with a “Wavy Gravy” blow dry from Hershesons created by using tongs that will create loose waves followed by a Grecian, plaited up do known as a “Carlam”.hersh1

As you head into day two, unravel the pretty plait to reveal the loose waves created just a day or two before, apply a little Batiste dry shampoo and run your fingers through the hair to add some volume.hersh 2

On the final day reach for the extensions. Hershesons have the perfect ponytail piece known as “The Hershesons Invisible Ponytail”.  Just use the Batiste shampoo from yesterday for some texture and added grip before simply inserting the ponytail and back-brushing your hair a little. The hair piece will add the much desired volume and life your locks are likely to need after all these days of merriment and revelry!
