The art of seduction

The art of seduction

When treating your other half, it can be tough to know which direction to go in. There are only so many times you can wander around Ann Summers wondering which hideous nylon dress-up kit will do the job – sexy kitten or naughty schoolgirl? The answer is no. Just no. You should take as much pride in your lingerie as you do your day to day fashion.

Cheeky flasher

This is a well known classic, one that was most recently immortalised by Rosie Huntington Whitley in her Agent Provocateur ad a couple of years ago. It’s old school, so get creative with stockings, stilettos and suspender belts. It’s very simple – tousled hair, black lace and a trench coat. It’s demure, yet daring.

Kinky crush

Without going full-blown latex and gimp masks, it is possible to play a little kinky without losing all grasps on fashion. Pair up some bondage hinting lingerie with a black tie left undone around your neck.  Believe us, it’s a powerful tool. Naughty.

Understated temptress

For the slightly dishevelled and totally planned but unplanned bedroom liaisons, you have to get a little less creative. Not everyone goes for the aforementioned looks, but that does not mean sports bra and granny knickers can cut it. Try a cute little bralet set and a white shirt for that gorgeous “I just threw this on” look.

Devious damsel

If you still want to retain a more innocent persona, a babydoll can be a really feminine yet sexy way to go. Just make sure to go high quality and nothing in shades of hot or baby pink. You might as well just start wearing crocs every day. Keep it light, and maybe go for some lace or florals. A babydoll and a pillow fight, what more could you want?

Victoria’s Secret

The trick is deciding whether you’re going to play up to your partner’s tastes or surprise them with a total break from character. Whichever route you decide to take, steer away from the tacky. You have to feel utterly gorgeous, as this is really a treat for both of you to enjoy. Like fashion, lingerie is its own art form, and you deserve better than the £5 bits of nylon from Primark! Treat yourself.
