Yo! launches Valentine’s Day sushi school and heart-shaped menu nationwide

Yo!, the Japanese-inspired restaurant chain, has announced a series of Valentine’s Day offerings, including a limited-edition menu and interactive Sushi School sessions. The events and menu items will be available at Yo! locations nationwide (excluding Heathrow) from 10th to 15th February, providing couples, friends and sushi enthusiasts with new ways to celebrate the occasion.

The special menu will feature a new heart-shaped salmon tartare dish called the Valentine’s Tartare (a heart-shaped salmon tartare with diced chilli, beetroot mayo, white sesame seeds and edible flowers, priced at £7.50), as well as a shared selection designed for two, the Valentine’s Tartare Platter, at £9.95, which includes the special tartare, two salmon nigiri and a six-piece cucumber maki. Both dishes will be served in all participating Yo! restaurants during the promotional period, while the Valentine’s Sharer Platter (£15.95) will also be available in selected Tesco stores for those wishing to celebrate at home.

In addition to the special menu, the group is offering a Sushi School experience throughout February, with a focus on a fun, romantic experience for the big day. The two-hour group sessions are open to all skill levels and include instruction on sushi traditions, knife-cutting techniques and rolling. Participants will make four different sushi rolls, including the special Valentine’s Tartare. There’s also a welcome drink (soft drink included, with an option to upgrade to beer or prosecco for an additional fee), shared starters of edamame and gyoza and guidance from Yo! staff. Tickets start at £34.95 per person, with an alcoholic drink upgrade available for £37.95.

Yo! was founded in 1997 and is known for popularising Japanese dining in the UK, initially through its kaiten (conveyor belt) restaurants. Today, the brand operates restaurants, kiosks in Tesco stores, and a range of products in grocery retailers.

The Valentine’s menu is available for dine-in at Yo! restaurants nationwide, with the exception of Heathrow locations, and the sharing platter will also be stocked at selected Tesco stores for a limited time.
