All I want for Christmas: Bleating brilliant jumpers

This Christmas, nothing says “party time” like a great Christmas jumper. Jumpers have that ultimate transformable factor; dress them up with a fabulous statement necklace, or dress them down with a buttoned shirt underneath. They keep us warm and come in every texture imaginable. Here are some perfect options for gifting (or to keep for yourself!) this festive season.

For the minimalist:

Minimalists are attracted to clean, modern textures, so go with the softest fibre content you can find. Merino wool and mohair are some of the best ways to show that a simple jumper can still be incredibly luxurious. And should you misinterpret a person’s jumper style, no one can resist the soft touch of these creations.

Mohair sweater, £29.99, Zara

Merino wool side slit sweater, £89.50, J Crew

Stretch ribbed merino wool sweater, £59, J Crew

For the traditionalist:

Traditionalists have it made this season. Fair Isle weaves and textured knits are everywhere, and are equal parts trendy and classic. The patterns, textures and colours in these jumpers could easily be transformed from day to night. Additionally, these can carry on into the first chilly weeks of spring, so talk about a useful gift!

Cowl neck sweater, £35.99, Zara

 Cable knit jumper, £24.99, H&M

Jumper in a wool blend, £29.99, H&M

Abstract Fair Isle sweater, £98, J Crew

For the dazzler:

This girl loves a little sparkle and the festive period offers the perfect excuse to splash the cash. These jumpers are great for parties, both in the day and night. Paired with a button-down shirt underneath, these could also easily be worn in the office so show some Christmas spirit.

Sequinned sweater, £35.99, Zara

Scatter necklace jumper, £46, Topshop

Embroidered sweater, £69.99, Zara
