Christian Louboutin teams up with Dita Von Teese

Burlesque beauty Dita Von Teese has joined forces with renowned shoe designer, Christian Louboutin, to create a seven-piece capsule collection under the name XXXtain.

Von Teese has revealed that this name is a play on the sign-off signature that Louboutin uses at the end of his emails: “Xtian”. The collection includes a bra, bodice and suspenders, all adorned with erotic lace and a silky finish, portraying the “essence of French 18^th century feminine sophistication”. The collection also signals Louboutin’s first venture into the lingerie market.

The pair share a long-term friendship, with Dita Von Teese regularly stepping out in her red soles, particularly during her burlesque performances. Furthermore, the renowned designer has created a handful of custom pairs of ballet slippers for her over the years.

This limited edition line is being sold exclusively through French lingerie e-tailer, Glamuse.com – known for stocking a range of high-end label lingerie such as Chantal Thomass, Agent Provocateur and Aubade, as well as other key collections from Von Teese.

Prices range from 88 euros for briefs to 750 euros for a negligee kimono.
