Luxury accessories brand Aspinal has announced its collaboration with New York socialite and star of The City, Olivia Palermo.

Founded in 2001, Aspinal has built a reputation for producing high-quality designer leather goods and accessories for men and women. Previous high-profile names associated with the brand include Elizabeth Hurley, Florence Brundenell Bruce and Mollie King. Liz Hurley’s collaboration supported the Breast Cancer Awareness campaign, and the collaborations with Bruce and King in 2012 were hugely successful. Additionally, after providing supplies to the Royal Household, HRH Prince Andrew visited the Aspinal head office and design studios.

Olivia Palermo found fame on the TV series The City, a spin-off from the hugely successful show The Hills. After spending time working for a number of brands including Mango as well as advocating for a number of charities, she has been named as a partner for Aspinal.

Alongside Ciaté, Palermo has been named as creative director, and her appointment with Aspinal has produced the limited edition Marylebone Tech Tote bag incorporating intelligent design. The bag was designed with technology in mind, and only 30 of Palermo’s designs will be produced. All profits from sales of the bags will be donated to ADCAM, raising funds to highlight social responsibility and to support educational projects around the world. The bag, which houses charger packs and cables for mobile devices, reflects Palermo’s interest in mobile and social media technology. Pippa Middleton has been spotted with the bag and it’s anticipated to be a best-seller, with a waiting list already in place. Indeed, Marie Claire magazine describes it as “as the only piece of genuinely wearable, wearable tech we’ve ever seen”.

In a statement released to the press, Palermo said: ‘Working with Aspinal and having them lend their support to ADCAM, a charity whose initiative I support, has been a stylish and meaningful experience.”
