Instagram sensation Donald Robertson teaming up with cosmetic stars Smashbox Cosmetics is an early Christmas present for those of us that love the next best thing in make-up. Originally the creative director of MAC cosmetics, Robertson joins Smashbox to create a limited edition line of matte lipsticks and gel eyeliners to be sold exclusively at Sephora.

This waterproof eyeliner is a take-anywhere pen with a flexible tip to achieve a smooth and bold finish that will not smudge, flake or fade. The versatile point allows you to let your creativity flow and create any kind of line, thick or thin, without the need of a brush. There is a seriously colourful range available for the ultimate fashion finish, developed from high impact rich hues. The line comes in playful, powerful purples to bright bold blues, the look echoing the black outlines of Robertson’s iconic art style. His one-of-a-kind artwork also appears on the packaging; a quirky touch bound to be a popular talking point.

The ultra-matte hydrating cream lipstick creates a powerful look sure to turn heads. Each product is infused with moisturising shea butter and antioxidant vitamin C and E to help protect the lips. The line comes in a selections of rich reds and pinks to create a radiant, silky, matte finish. As with the eyeliner set, the lipsticks feature custom illustrations by Robertson on the sleeve of each lip colour.

These new releases are a diverse range of bright, bold colours and are perfect for the upcoming summer with a colour for everyone. The pairing of artwork and beauty is not only successful, but inspiring, and hopefully we’ll see more of these mixtures in the future.
