River Island launches plus size collection

River Island launches plus size collection

One of the most popular high street chains in Europe is releasing a new fashion line that will be designed for the fuller figure; a plus size range aimed for those who rock sizes 16 to 24.

After years of selling clothing in sizes 6-18, River Island will be broadening its horizons and creating RI Plus. Although many of their current pieces go up a size 18, the brand has decided to open their doors to even more women by adding an extra three sizes.

Set for release in early March, the fashion collection will feature core pieces as well as products from the company’s current collection, including party dresses, denim and workwear.

Only a couple of sketches have been released so far but it is clear to see that River Island are staying on track with their bang on trend style and are proud to prove that size doesn’t matter. They have even managed to secure model Candice Huffine to front the marketing campaign. The stunning brunette was the first plus size model to appear in the Pirelli calendar and has also featured on a cover of Italian Vogue.

Prices will range from £6 to £80, and the collection will be available both online and in store.
