AneedA Night Out with The Black Eyed Peas, Rick Wilson and Tinie Tempah launch Dial at the Royal Albert Hall

AneedA Night Out with The Black Eyed Peas, Rick Wilson and Tinie Tempah launch Dial at the Royal Albert Hall | Live review

Will.i.am and an array of famous friends hosted two free gigs at the Royal Albert Hall on Wednesday to celebrate the launch of Dial, the exciting new wearable from Will.i.am’s consumer technology brand i.am+. The device, along with its new interface Aneeda, was introduced to the packed-out venue via a thrilling concert.

As well as seeing snippets of the device’s futuristic features, lucky audience members were treated to lively performances from both established and up-and-coming singers. Will.i.am was a constant presence and was joined by talented artists such as Tinie Tempah, WSTRN, Pia Mia, Ricky Wilson and Lydia Lucy (who was a member of Team Will during the latest season of The Voice).

One of the biggest highlights of Wednesday’s extravaganza was when the Black Eyed Peas took to the stage to perform some of their best-loved hits. The original trio bounced about the space with 22-year-old Lydia Lucy, who was a fantastic stand-in for the absent Fergie. The crowd were ecstatic to hear songs such as Let’s Get It Started, Where Is The Love and I Gotta Feeling. Will.i.am declared his joy at performing with his fellow band members again after such a long time and even called his mother in the middle of the set (via his sleek new wearable, of course) to share his excitement.

This display of new technology and energetic music proved to be a huge success with attendees at the plush venue. Everyone was up and out of their seats in no time at all and danced and sang their way through the remainder of the gig. Overall, this one of the most unique and enjoyable product launches of the year. If Will.i.am puts on any further events in the near future you can ensure that they will be quirky, hi-tech enthusiastic and a lot of fun.
