Stella McCartney’s newest perfume is ready to POP

The campaign for Stella McCartney’s latest fragrance campaign, POP, has been released and it’s about to give you serious summer envy.

The coolest advert of the season stars some of the coolest young ladies around: Canadian singer Grimes features pale pink locks and numerous tattoos with her track Venus Fly playing in the background, setting the scene for a laidback holiday vibe. She is joined by Lourdes Leon, the 19-year-old daughter of Madonna, rocking pastel blue hair. Her wild child persona is brought to life as she rides through the desert in a baby pink convertible that also happens to be a pool.

American actress Amandla Stenberg is also part of their summer squad; with her dark curls and playful nature she helps to contribute to the individual and care-free theme. Model and Instagram favourite, Kenya Kinski-Jones, completes the line-up and also injects some diversity with her mixed German-Polish and African-American heritage that have resulted in a constant golden glow and wavy blonde locks.

Surprisingly, there is no sign of any male love interests as we would expect in a fragrance commercial. Instead, girl power, independence and uniqueness scream out from the four females as they dance, wander and drive through the wilderness in metallic slip dresses and bright white trainers.

The scent itself is said to be overtly feminine without being overpowering; sandalwood and tuberose combine to create the newest Stella McCartney fragrance. Head over to the website to read up on McCartney’s inspiration behind the campaign.
