Kate Moss, Victoria Beckham and Emma Watson, along with many other celebrities, have donated their jeans to a new charitable project. The project is to support the current refugee crisis that society is encapsulated within. Aside from celebrities donating their favourite pair of jeans, the pieces of denim will be hand painted by artist Johny Dar.

The project is named Jeans for Refugees and the donated items of clothing will be into pieces of art by Johny Dar. His artistic skill and expression will be used beautifully and vividly. After Dar has painted the pieces, they will be exhibited at London’s Saatchi Gallery from 24th-30th October.  All jeans from celebrities including Ryan Gosling, Lilly Allen and Zoë Kravitz, will be auctioned off on catawiki.com. Bidding has started and more jeans will be released on the website as the project continues.

Johny Dar’s ideology behind the project is to create something unique, which will be personal to each individual, but will also help the current global crisis in society today. Dar says, “By coming together for a common cause, great change is possible”.
