From festivals to Fitzrovia, the gourmet chip sensation Saucy Chip have found a permanent home at the Jerusalem Bar and Kitchen. Hot off the heels of three years of successful trading out of their distinctive red, white and blue Citroen H truck at the UK’s biggest music festivals, Saucy Chip serve a range of delicious dishes including their Rock and Roll Chips smothered in their 24-hour steeped beef gravy and topped with oozing melted red leicester and cheddar cheese.

The Saucy Chip food philosophy is simple: using British produce from award-winning suppliers such as Flock and Herd and the Butchers Block (free range meat, poultry & charcuterie) and artisan ice creams from The Ice Cream Union. The potatoes for the signature chips are farmed from a 4th-generation potato farm in Cheshire and will be hand cut and fried three times to achieve a fluffy interior and crunchy exterior.

Saucy Chip has an allegiance of celebrity fans including; Cara Delevingne, Noel Gallagher and Prince Harry, and is the brainchild of ex Rave singer and former Marketing Director of the O2 Arena, Jules Heaton, a self-confessed foodie who will stop at a nothing to create the perfect handmade chip.

The menu served for lunch and dinner at Jerusalem Bar and Kitchen offers their music festival favourites including their five signature gourmet chip dishes, such as the indulgent Kick Ass Chilli Cheese Chips with 100% spicy beef chilli topped with cheddar cheese and sparkenhoe red leicester and their signature chips, taking inspiration from a northern chip shop classic, smothered in a deliciously homemade Katsu curry sauce. Also making an appearance on the menu will be the Saucy Chick burger which is a crowd-pleasing buttermilk-marinated spicy chicken burger on a glazed buttermilk bun topped with a homemade spicy peri peri and garlic mayo, and drizzled with a devilishly hot Caribbean sauce.

Delicious new additions to the menu include the light and crispy Fabulous Fish Balls made with smoked haddock and cod, a sort of British homage to the Spanish croquetas served with a homemade Cajun inspired aioli. The team are also delighted to announce a new signature burger, The Double Whammy, which is a lusciously beefy double stacked burger, consisting of two beef patties, double cheese, minced white onion, gherkin relish, lettuce and ketchup.

Aiming to please and fulfil all Saucy Chip fan needs, every burger and jumbo hot dog is served with a side of chips and a choice of two sauces from the unique “sauce bar” consisting of over 20 different hot and cold sauces sourced from around the world. With options such as London’s very own Rib Man’s infamous Holy F**k Sauce, from the sizzling hot Pain Is Good range to Kansas City-inspired Prairie Fire Traditional BBQ and the spicy South African Zulu Zulu Peri Peri Garlic Sauce, the sauce bar covers any saucy needs.

For those aiming to satisfy their sweet tooth there will be selection of Saucy puddings: choose from a humongous peach and raspberry Knickerbocker Glory packed with three flavours of ice cream from London’s Ice Cream Union, popping candy, sweeties and mini meringues from the Meringue Girls, to an indulgent Death by Chocolate warm Brownie Sundae incorporating a gooey Salted Caramel Brownie. This towering chocolatey delight is topped off with lashings of squirty fresh cream, sprinkled with a homemade pecan brittle, Rolo and Oreo crumb served with a stick of a TWIX.
