Fragrant Italian aromas land on Sartoria’s terrace this summer. The distinguished restaurant in Savile Row has collaborated with luxury perfume brand Acqua di Parma for a special menu inspired by the label’s unmistakable scents and the Mediterranean flavours so dear to chef-patron Francesco Mazzei. Three special cocktails complemented by as many cicchetti – typical Italian small plates to share – are available to enjoy throughout these hot months, and they are a real treat to be found just a few meters from buzzing Regent’s Street. The Libare terrace has gone through a leafy makeover for the occasion, decorated with orange trees, the tables ornamented with candles for an atmospheric alfresco experience.

Acqua di Parma’s Blu Mediterraneo line, for years now a staple of the brand, has been designed to evoke the refreshing fragrance of Italy. Each element on the summer menu takes the name from one of the items of the collection.

The concoctions combine spirits and emotions, presenting a trio of variations that lead the guests on a tour across the country. Whether for its vivid colour or its revitalising citrusy taste, Arancia di Capri is the one not to miss. The blood orange liqueur perfectly blends with the vanilla-infused Aperol, featuring some bubbles thanks to a hint of prosecco. The Chinotto di Liguria Negroni is the zesty pick: sweet notes are carefully mixed with the rosemary-infused Averna, all enveloped in the comforting chinotto tonic water.

Finishing on a milder tone, the Bergamotto di Calabria is a light creation, stirring together Italicus bergamot liqueur and Sipsmith gin. The classics from the bar, though, are also a must-try for first-time visitors of Sartoria. The sublime Hidden on the Rooftop definitely stands out. Plush egg white softly incorporates the syrupy notes of the violette liqeuer, supported by the strong character of Belvedere vodka: it’s true cocktail craftsmanship.

The snacks on offer to accompany the summer drinks list pay tribute to the hot flavours of three Southern Italian islands. In Fico di Amalfi, the roasted scallops acquire a robust nduja tang while keeping a pulpy consistency. Mirto di Panarea encapsulates the earthy notes of the landscape: the veal meatballs, seasoned with a hint of myrth, are served in a fine herb sauce. The sweet finale arrives with the Mandorlo di Sicilia. Beyond the tender almond flakes, the soft ball reveals an intense avocado heart which delicately melts in the mouth.

Find refuge on the idyllic terrace of Sartoria and immerse yourself in the invigorating tastes of Italy this July.
