Londoners don’t do tourist attractions, not that it’s possible anyway in light of the current/never-ending pandemic. London is home to some of the country’s most famous tourist attractions, but most have already seen them. Been there, done it and bought the t-shirt.

It’s like sitting through The Lord of the Rings trilogy and then doing it again the next week. Londoners instead like to take in the many other comforts that this glorious city provides.

Many sports that Londoners can watch live

Admittedly, some sporting events in the capital city could pass as tourist attractions too. Think Wimbledon or the London Marathon, for example. However, aside from those, there’s access to a ton of live sporting events throughout the city. Football is the obvious sport and London more clubs than any other city in the country. London is also home to the national stadium.

Lots of pubs for quality beer & pub dining

Londoners may be biased, but this city has some of the best pubs in the country. Of course, there are great pubs everywhere, but in London, there are so many of them. One is never far away from excellent beer and even better grub. The only downside is London prices, but then again, that applies to most things.

Places for plays, musicals, films and burlesque

In addition to London’s famous West End, there are loads of places to go and watch plays, musicals, burlesque shows and films. Soho is home to many a burlesque club and there are cinemas littered all over London, ranging from mainstream viewings to indie arthouse favourites. Leicester Square is home to Odeon, Vue, Cineworld IMAX and also the iconic Prince Charles Cinema where you can watch cult, arthouse and classic films. In Central London you can find also entertainment complexes such as the Hippodrome as well as bingo halls. Though, nowadays, there are many online destinations which you can find listed on Whichbingo and similar websites.

Romantic occasions

Swanky restaurants, peaceful parks like Primrose Hill, luxurious hotels and stunning architecture are sure to get the romantic juices flowing in London. On the outside, London may seem a loud mess but once within that mess, it’s possible to see and appreciate the beauty. Where’s better than London for a romantic date? There are so many more options rather than taking a date to the same pub over and over.

It’s possible to fall back on tourist attractions

The best part is that Londoners get to keep the many tourist attractions the city has firmly in their back pockets to be pulled out whenever they’re needed. Somebody visiting from overseas or you want to impress somebody yet to experience Londons tourist spots? Then just bite the bullet and get it over with. It’s possible to have a decent time, even for those who have seen these attractions numerous times.
