Bananarama releases Supernova single ahead of career-spanning anthology and London Palladium shows

Iconic pop duo Bananarama have unveiled their latest single Supernova, a track destined to captivate fans with its electrifying melody and celestial vibes. The release comes ahead of their comprehensive anthology, Glorious – The Ultimate Collection, which is set to drop on 8th March 2024. The collection is a curated reflection of Sara Dallin and Keren Woodward’s illustrious career, celebrating their 40-year journey in the music industry. Fans can look forward to a series of special performances at the London Palladium in April, where the group will commemorate their four-decade legacy and more than 30 million records sold.

The new single Supernova, which follows the previously released Feel the Love, showcases Bananarama’s ability to produce infectious modern pop tunes. Keren Woodward expressed her excitement about the track, stating that it inspires a desire to dance and embodies the joy of their four-decade career in music. Glorious – The Ultimate Collection not only revisits the duo’s early hits like Really Saying Something with Fun Boy Three but also highlights their chart-topping 80s classics such as Cruel SummerVenus and Love in the First Degree.

The upcoming album will be available in various formats, including a Collector’s Edition and two Deluxe Editions, one being a triple-CD package and the other a translucent red triple-vinyl. Each Deluxe Edition comes with a book featuring an introduction by journalist Fiona Sturges, personal articles by Sara and Keren, and a detailed look at Bananarama’s influence on music and fashion by writer Katie Baron. The 3CD version also includes an exclusive remix disc, with contributions from notable artists like Boys Noize and Krystal Klear.

The Palladium shows, set for 3rd and 4th April, and the newly added 6th, are nearly sold out, reflecting the enduring appeal of Bananarama. Additionally, the duo will be signing copies of their new album at HMV stores in Brighton and London on 8th March, followed by Birmingham and Manchester on 9th March. Looking further ahead, Bananarama are scheduled to headline the second stage at Mighty Hoopla on 1st June 2024.
