Max unveils teaser for The Penguin series starring Colin Farrell, set to debut this autumn

Max, the prominent streaming service, has just unveiled an enthralling teaser for its latest series, The Penguin, set to debut this autumn. The show, which is a collaborative effort between Warner Bros Television and DC Studios, stars Colin Farrell in the lead role as Oz Cobb, also known as “The Penguin”. This eight-episode drama continues the narrative of the epic crime saga introduced in the blockbuster film The Batman, directed by Matt Reeves. The series promises to delve deeper into the dark and intricate world of its titular character, played by Farrell in the movie.

The Penguin boasts an impressive cast including Cristin Milioti, Rhenzy Feliz, Michael Kelly, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Deirdre O’Connell, Clancy Brown and Michael Zegen, promising a rich and dynamic exploration of Gotham’s underworld. The series is shaped by a team of executive producers: Matt Reeves, Dylan Clark, Colin Farrell himself, Lauren LeFranc who also serves as the showrunner, Craig Zobel who directs the initial three episodes, and Bill Carraro. Based on the characters created for DC by Bob Kane with Bill Finger, the show emerges from the creative incubation of Reeves’ 6th & Idaho Productions and Dylan Clark Productions, in association with Warner Bros Television.

Details regarding the distribution of The Penguin in the UK are expected to be announced soon, ensuring fans on this side of the Atlantic are kept in suspense.
