Lyon’s Seafood & Wine Bar, cherished for its exceptional array of seafood and unique wines, has introduced a selection of innovative dishes to its menu for Spring 2024. The establishment, operated by the husband and wife team Anthony and Louisa Lyon, has been a focal point in the neighbourhood since its inception in 2019. Known for their commitment to fresh, sustainably sourced fish and seafood, the couple collaborates closely with fishermen using dayboats, ensuring the menu features the finest the British Isles have to offer.

Under the guidance of Head Chef Robbie Cornell, who joined the team in 2023 from Corrigan’s, the restaurant continues to champion a fin to tail philosophy, aiming to utilise underused parts of the fish to minimise waste. Among the new offerings are Miso Cod with Pak Choi Pickled Ginger, Cauliflower Puree and Maitake and BBQ Fish Collars with Jerk Marinade and Slaw alongside small plates like Gin Cured Trout, Rhubarb, Preserved Lemon, Mint & Labneh. The menus, which change regularly, reflect the daily catch, promising a dynamic dining experience.

Lyon’s is equally passionate about its wine and cocktail selections, focusing on organic and biodynamic options from small, family-run producers. Head bartender Leighton Rathbone, noted for his inventive cocktail creations, adds to the restaurant’s allure with offerings such as The Portra Rosa, prepared with lemongrass and ginger flavours, a touch of tequila and a basmati-infused tincture, and a special take on the Bloody Dirty Martini, made with Vodka, fat washed in Bloody Mary spiced roast tomato oil, and stirred down with tomato water.

The restaurant’s interior, featuring original Victorian tiles and a contemporary marble bar, provides a cosy yet elegant backdrop for diners. With a capacity of 46, alongside additional bar and window seating, Lyon’s aims to remain an accessible spot for both reservations and walk-ins.
