Moor Hall to introduce seven new Garden Rooms in July

Moor Hall Restaurant, the esteemed two Michelin-starred destination led by Chef Mark Birchall, is set to unveil seven new Garden Rooms in July 2024. Nestled in Aughton, Lancashire, this expansion enhances its already luxurious accommodation, with reservations now open for the forthcoming rooms.

The design, conceived by KOTO, aligns with biophilic principles, celebrating the intricate relationship between nature and design while upholding high environmental standards. Each room, named after a botanical, reflects Moor Hall’s commitment to sustainability, earning it a Michelin Green Star. Set amidst the enchanting, secluded woodlands by Moor Hall’s gardens, the standalone cabins, aside from their eco-friendly build, will feature private hot tubs and decking areas, promoting an immersive experience in luxury and nature.

Inside, the rooms are a testament to craftsmanship, with the design of each space inspired by its botanical namesake. For instance, the Anise Hyssop room will be adorned with dark timbers, lilac accents, and luxurious velvets. The Oxalis will showcase light woods, origami-inspired furniture, with purple and burgundy tones, while the Sea Buckthorn will see terracotta tones alongside bleached wood, earthy textures and black accents.

Speaking on the launch, Chef Mark Birchall commented: “Moor Hall is constantly evolving. Innovation, sustainability, and an outstanding guest experience are at the heart of everything we do, and I am so excited for this next stage in our journey.” Theo Dales of KOTO shared a similar sentiment, highlighting the synergy between Moor Hall’s excellence and the brand’s design ethos.

The Garden Rooms, priced from £650 for bed and breakfast for two, mark a significant addition to Moor Hall’s offering. The first five rooms will be available from July 2024, with the remaining two set to open in August. Moor Hall, a grade II listed building with a history dating back to the 13th century, continues to define culinary excellence in Lancashire, boasting numerous accolades including two Michelin Stars and five AA Rosettes.
